Scan to Manifest
Overview
The Scan to Manifest feature allows users to manifest consignments only after the required labels have been scanned.
This is useful for warehouse or dispatch workflows where consignments are created before freight is fully packed or physically confirmed. By scanning each label before manifesting, users can make sure only the freight that has actually been packed and prepared for dispatch is included in the manifest.
Purpose
The purpose of Scan to Manifest is to allow the user to build a manifest based on the items which are scanned.
Instead of manifesting all available consignments directly from the Manifest screen, users can scan each freight label to build the manifest. Once all required labels are scanned, the consignment(s) can then be manifested.
Who should use this feature?
This feature is intended for users who:
- Create consignments before packing is completed
- Need to verify freight labels before manifesting
- Want to ensure only physically scanned freight is manifested
- Use barcode scanning as part of their dispatch process
- Need stronger control between label printing, packing, and manifesting
Important Notes
- All required labels must be scanned before the consignment can be manifested.
- If not all labels are scanned, the Manifest button will remain unavailable.
- Barcodes can be scanned using a scanner, or manually entered into the Scan Barcode field.
- Once the manifest is confirmed, the system will redirect to the Booking/Manifest History screen.

Select Manifest to open the manifest document.
The manifest can then be downloaded or printed as needed.

Summary
Scan to Manifest provides an additional verification step before manifesting freight.
It is designed for workflows where consignments may be created before packing is complete. Users scan each label to confirm the freight is physically ready, and the system only allows the manifest to proceed once all required labels have been scanned.
This helps reduce accidental manifesting of freight that has not yet been packed, picked, or confirmed for dispatch.
