Duplicating a Consignment (Today’s List – Advanced)
Purpose
Duplicating a consignment from Today’s List (Advanced) allows you to quickly recreate an existing shipment using the same addresses, items, dimensions, references, and instructions—without manually re-entering data.
This method is ideal when working with:
- Large consignment lists
- Historical or filtered consignments
- Power users who rely on advanced views and layouts
Just like other duplication methods in Cario, this process creates a brand-new booking with a new connote number, while leaving the original consignment unchanged.
Key Notes
- ✅ Works for created, in-transit, delivered, and manifested consignments
- ✅ The duplicated consignment always generates a new booking
- ✅ Original consignment is not modified
- ✅ You can choose whether to copy references
- 🔁 Process is identical to duplication from Today’s List (Basic) — only the entry point differs
How to Duplicate a Consignment from Today’s List (Advanced)
Steps
- Navigate to Consignments
- Click Today’s List (Advanced)
- Locate the consignment you want to duplicate (use filters if required)
- Click the three-bar (menu) icon on the consignment row
- Select Copy Consignment
- When prompted, choose whether to copy references:
- Yes – copies all references into the new consignment
- No – starts without references
- A Create New Consignment screen will open with all duplicated details
- Review or adjust details as needed (dates, quantities, instructions, service, etc.)
- Click Create to finalise the new booking
➡️ A new connote number is generated once created.
What Gets Copied
✔ Pickup and delivery addresses
✔ Shipment items, dimensions, and weights
✔ Special instructions
✔ Other references (if selected)
✔ Products and container types
What Does Not Change
- The original consignment remains unchanged
- The duplicated consignment receives a new booking and connote number
- Pricing and availability are recalculated at creation time
💡 If you are duplicating a consignment to change the carrier or service, duplication is the recommended approach rather than updating.
