Deleting Consignments
Deleting a consignment in Cario allows users to permanently remove consignments that were created in error or are no longer required.
This action is only available for consignments that have not been manifested.
When Can a Consignment Be Deleted?
A consignment can be deleted when:
- The status is Created
- The consignment has not been manifested
A consignment cannot be deleted when:
- It has already been manifested
- It has been sent to the carrier
Once a consignment is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Why Delete a Consignment?
Deleting consignments is useful when:
- A consignment was created by mistake
- Incorrect shipment details were entered
- The booking is no longer required
- You want to clean up unused or duplicate records
This helps keep consignment data accurate and uncluttered.
How to Delete a Consignment (Step-by-Step)
- Go to Consignments
- Select Maintain
- Locate the consignment you want to delete
(you can search or filter if required) - Click the trash bin icon next to the consignment

- A confirmation popup will appear
- Click OK to confirm deletion
or Cancel to keep the consignment
Once confirmed, the consignment is permanently removed from Cario.
Important Notes
- Only unmanifested consignments can be deleted
- If a consignment has been manifested, you must contact the carrier instead
- Consider updating or copying a consignment if deletion is not appropriate
