Cario Connect – Driver Mobile App Guide
Purpose
The Cario Connect mobile app is designed to support drivers throughout their daily delivery operations. It provides a central platform to manage runs, complete mandatory assessments, scan consignments, track working time, and communicate with supervisors all in real time and directly from a mobile device.
Key Benefits
Using the Cario Connect app allows drivers and operations teams to:
- Complete driver and load assessments to ensure safety and compliance
- View and manage assigned runs and delivery drops
- Perform barcode scanning for pickups, deliveries, and returns
- Capture proof of delivery (POD) including photos and signatures
- Track charge time, break time, and run activity
- Receive real-time notifications for run assignments and updates
- Enable live tracking and event visibility back to Cario FMS
Downloading the App
Steps to Follow
- Once your supervisor creates your driver account, you will receive an email invitation.
- The email contains:
- App download links
- Your username
- A One-Time Password (OTP) for first-time login
Download Links
- Android: Google Play Store
- iOS: Apple App Store
First-Time User Registration
Steps to Follow
- Open the Cario Connect app.
- Tap First Time User.

- Enter your username and OTP from the email.

- Create a password and submit:
- Minimum 6 characters
- Must include at least one special character
- No spaces

- Account setup is now complete.
Enable Permissions

How to Enable Permissions in the Cario Connect App
- After installing and opening the Cario Connect app for the first time,you’ll be prompted to allow several permissions.
- Allow Camera Access– This is required to scan barcodes during pickup and delivery.
- Allow Notifications– Enables the app to send important updates, reminders, and alerts about runs and assessments.
- Allow Location Access– Needed for real-time tracking and route optimisation.
Make sure to set this to “Allow all the time” or “While using the app” depending on your device. - If you missed enabling permissions during setup, go to yourPhone Settings > Apps > Cario Connect > Permissions to manually enable them.
Enabling these ensures the app works as intended for a smooth and fully compliant delivery experience.
Driver Assessment
Steps to follow:
- On first sign in of the day, if an assessment is assigned to the driver they will be required to answer the driver assessment.

- Answer the following questions and click on Next button to proceed.

- An assessment summary will be available on the last step of the questionnaire and users can review before proceeding.

- Add in your signature and tick the box to submit the assessment
Driver Schedules
Steps to follow:
- Tap on the calendar icon on the right top corner to open the logs dialog to start your time.
- You can check in and start your time
- You can also click on the other tabs and select ‘Charge Time’ or ‘Break Time’ then you can start the times as well.



Runs
Starting a run
Steps to follow:
- Click on the run tab on the bottom bar to see the runs assigned to you.

- Run list page will open with your runs. Click on the tile to open and see the drops for the selected run.
- This shows the drops for the run. You can change the view from detailed view to list view by clicking on the button on the top left.

- Click on the ‘Start Run’ floating button on the bottom of the screen to start the selected run.

- If a load assessment policy has been assigned to you, you will need to do the assessment before starting the run.
- You will be asked for the ‘total parcel items’. If you select the incorrect count a pop up will appear to inform you that the count does not match. This is not mandatory and you will still be able to proceed with the assessment.

- Proceed with the questions and review your answers on the assessment summary.

- On the last step, assessment signature, you can set the Departure date and time for when you will start the run.
- The selected date and time here will be recorded as your run start time.
- If you forgot to start your check in time and charge time you can do so in the driver schedules section.

- Click on submit to finish the load assessment and start the run

Run Details
Steps to follow:
- Back on the run details screen, you can click on a drop to open a bar showing the receiver, sender and item information associated with the drop.

- Tapping on the ‘Directions’ button opens your default maps application and automatically sets the address of the drop for navigational guidance
- Tapping on the floating button with the ‘QR’ image opens the scans page (more information on scan section)

Drop Status
Steps to follow:
- Depending on the status of the drop, the color will be different on both list and detail view
- Yellow – Some items have been delivered
- Green – All items delivered
- You can tap on the filter button in order to filter the list or tap on the ‘Undelivered’ button for quick filtering.

Reorder drops
Steps to follow:
- Users can reorder their undelivered/partially delivered drops by tapping on the three dots menu button and selecting ‘Edit’ button


- The list will immediately be filtered and completed drops removed from the list.
- Tapping and holding on the 3 bars enables it to be dragged-and-dropped in the list for reordering.

- Once done, you can tap again on the three dots menu button to open a bottom bar and select an action:
- Discard Changes – reorder mode will be turned off and changes you made will be discarded
- Save – reorder mode will be turned off and changes you made will be saved
- Cancel – the bottom bar will be closed and you can continue reordering the drops.

Run Notification
Steps to follow:
- When a new run is assigned or updated, you will be notified within the Cario Connect App.
- You click on it which will redirect you to the runs screen to view and start the run.

Scanning Event Milestones
Steps to follow:
- Select a Scan Type by clicking on the Scan button the Bottom Menu.

- Currently there are 4 options to choose from, tap on a tile to select your scan type: Collected from Sender, Unloaded in Depot, Onboard Delivery Driver and Delivered.

- Start scanning barcodes by pointing your camera on the barcode

- Your scanned barcodes will reflect on the Bottom Menu (the tray at the bottom of your screen).
- Tapping on the tray menu will expand it to show the details of the scans you have done.
- By default, Cario will try and lookup the corresponding Consignments associated with the barcodes that you've scanned. If it does not find any related Consignment, it will show as “Unidentified Barcode”

- You can also manually enter a barcode by using the “Search Barcode” field.
- Once you’ve scanned all your barcodes, click on the continue button which will redirect you to the Notes and Attach Photos page. Here you can enter notes and take photos to attach to your scans.

- To attach a photo, click on the Green Camera Icon with a plus sign, this will take you to your phones camera and allow you to take pictures.

- Click on the “Save/Continue” button to save your scans. It would then redirect you back to the Main Menu and notify you when the scans are Successfully Saved
Complete Run
Steps to follow:
- Click on the Deliver Scan Type from the home page.

- Start scanning the barcodes to mark the status as delivered

- Add Notes and Attach Photos if necessary

- Enter the receivers Signature using the signature pad

- Then enter the Receivers name and select the Status in the dropdown.
- You will notice here the screen layout is upside down and this so it makes it easier for the receiver to sign while you are holding the phone.

Signing Out : Ending your day
Steps to follow:
- Before signing out, make sure you’ve logged your charge and check out times
- To Logout, tap on the Settings Menu Tab then tap on the Sign Out Button

Consignment Search
Steps to follow:
🔍 Steps to Search Consignments by Connote Number in Cario Connect App
- Open the Cario Connect app on your mobile device.

- In the search bar at the top of the screen, type the connote number (e.g., 12345).
- As you type, matching consignments will appear in the results below.
- Each result displays:
- The carrier logo (e.g., FedEx, StarTrack)
- The connote number
- The delivery suburb and postcode
- The delivery status (e.g., Delivered, Manifested)
- A status icon for quick reference (✔️ Delivered, ❌ Manifested)
- Tap any item to view its full details.
